Inter Milan have confirmed the appointment of a new manager amid interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The United star's future has been the subject of intense speculation since the 2024/25 season came to an end. Hojlund scored just 10 goals for United last season, with just four of those coming in the Premier League.
The striker did find the back of the net six times on United's way to reaching the Europa League final. Since the season finished, though, Hojlund has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Inter have expressed an interest in signing Hojlund this summer, as reported by the Manchester Evening News earlier this month. The Serie A club's president, Giuseppe Marotta, also confirmed that Inter do have an interest in bringing Hojlund to the San Siro this summer.
Amid the speculation around Hojlund's future, Inter have confirmed the appointment of Cristian Chivu as the club's new manager.
The announcement comes after the departure of former boss Simone Inzaghi, who guided the Italian giants to the Champions League final before taking the job as manager of Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
Now that Chivu has been confirmed as the new Inter manager, it's only going to be a matter of time before a decision is made on whether or not the club will pursue a deal for Hojlund.
United signed the striker from Atalanta for £72million back in 2023, and he has since gone on to score 26 goals during his time at Old Trafford.
