Transfer: Real Madrid want Mendy to leave, pick two players as left-backs

Real Madrid want left-back Ferland Mendy to leave the club this summer.

According to Diario AS, the Los Blancos want Fran Garcia and Alvaro Carreras to be their left-back options this new season.

The report added that Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso also told Real Madrid not to listen to any offers for Garcia, adding that the former Bayer Leverkusen coach wants him in his squad.

Recall that Garcia joined Real Madrid from Rayo Vallecano in 2023.

Carreras, on the other hand, joined Real Madrid from Benfica this summer.

Real Madrid are keen to bolster Alonso's squad this summer after missing out on the La Liga title to Barcelona last season.

Xabi's men were also knocked out from the recently concluded Club World Cup tournament in the knockout stage against Paris Saint-Germain.
