Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has admitted he 'expects' to stay at Old Trafford amid interest from Inter Milan in this summer's transfer window
Manchester United's forward Rasmus Hojlund has confessed he "expects" to remain at Old Trafford despite the rumours around Inter Milan's interest.
The Manchester Evening News reported on Wednesday, Inter are mulling over a summer transfer window swoop for the Danish international to bolster their front line for the upcoming season.
Inter are looking to revamp their squad this summer after missing out on the Serie A crown and suffering a 5-0 drubbing by PSG in the Champions League final last weekend.
Inter's president Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that the 22-year-old, who made the switch from Atalanta to United nearly two years ago, could be "the subject of investigation and possible negotiations" this summer.
However, Hojlund, who netted ten times for United this season, is focused on carving out his legacy at Old Trafford, highlighting that he still has a good few years left on his current contract, reports the Manchester Evening News.
"I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United," Hojlund shared with Danish outlet Bold. "I'm looking forward to going on a summer holiday, and then I'm fully committed to the project that's in progress.
"I know I can't gain much from reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030.
"I expect to play there, so I'm just gearing up for some summer holiday and then hopefully a solid pre-season."
Despite the Dane hinting he's got five more years on his current contract, he penned a five-year deal with Old Trafford in August 2023.
This means his present contract is set to run out in June 2028, with an extra year option that could extend his stay until summer 2029.
Since donning the United jersey, Hojlund, who kicked off Denmark's 2-1 victory over Northern Ireland on Saturday, has clocked up 95 appearances and netted 26 goals.
