A mother has called out her pastor on a radio station, accusing him of taking her child's placenta during childbirth an act she believes is responsible for the child's inability to speak or function since birth.
The disturbing incident was shared in a video posted on the popular social media platform TikTok by a user identified as @tboss8167.
In the video, the woman emotionally recounted her ordeal. She explained that during her pregnancy, she suffered persistent illnesses and was advised to seek help at a church led by a woman known as "Iya Michael."
"When I was pregnant, I went through a lot. I was always sick, and they told me the only solution was at Iya Michael's church. When I got there, they gave me white cloth and soap to bathe with. After using it, I became well within two days," she said.
She went on to describe how she gave birth at a mission house affiliated with the church, only to later be told that the church owner was allegedly involved in diabolic practices.
"After delivery, the woman who assisted me refused to release my baby's clothes, claiming it was because I registered the birth with her. All the clothes we brought were kept at the church altar," she explained.
The woman said she went into labor at 9 p.m. and delivered the baby by 4 a.m. The placenta was initially handed over to her husband, who took it to the church to express gratitude.
However, he was allegedly stopped by the pastor, who insisted the placenta must be buried within the church compound, as was done with all other births conducted there.
According to the mother, the child has been unable to speak or perform any physical functions since birth, and she believes the pastor's actions are responsible.
As the video continued to gain traction, many concerned Nigerians took to the comment section to express their shock and outrage over the situation.
