Galatasaray made light work of Trabzonspor in the final of the Turkish Cup as they moved closer to a historic double.
After completing a league double over Trabzonspor, Galatasaray entered the final as heavy favorites and delivered the goods with a domineering performance.
An opening goal after only five minutes by Baris Yilmaz was followed by a second-half brace by Osimhen to seal a deserved win for the Cimbom.
Osimhen makes Galatasaray history
Thanks to his brace in the Turkish Cup final, Osimhen took his tally to 33 goals in all competitions this season for Galatasaray.
This made the Nigerian Superstar the highest-goalscoring foreigner in a single season in Galatasaray's 119-year history.
The Super Eagles icon beat the previous record set by Brazilian icon Mario Jardel in 2004 when he scored 34 goals for Galatasaray.
Osimhen's story with The Lions is not quite done yet with a potential Super Lig title just one win away from their grasp.
