Victor Osimhen is reportedly considering staying at Galatasaray for at least one more season, with three reasons highlighted as contributing factors.
Osimhen and Galatasaray
The 26-year-old joined Cim-Bom in the summer on a season-long loan deal after failing to secure a dream move to a top European club before deadline day.
The loan move is proving a great deal for both parties, as Osimhen preserved his value, and endeared himself to fans of the club. And Galatasaray are on course for a double, with the Nigerian playing a talismanic role.
Hence, the Cim-Bom want to keep him beyond this season. While they are working out ways to sign him permanently, the financial requirements seem greater that they can match, and are said to be contemplating another season-long loan move.
Osimhen's mulling over staying
While the Nigerian still has ambitions of playing for the bigger teams on the continent, he has fallen in love with Galatasaray fans, and the club. During their last match against Sivasspor, he was on the receiving end of an immense showing of love from the club's fans, which he admitted he had never experienced anywhere else in his career.
According to Galatasaray journalist Eyup Yıldız, the club are contemplating offering him a one year deal. The report also claimed that Osimhen is contemplating staying, as in addition to the aforementioned fan love, Galatasaray's ability to match his salary demands-a factor that discouraged Premier League clubs from pursuing him-and the Cim-Bom's participation in the Champions League next season are three factors that are making the Nigerian seriously consider staying at Napoli for one more year.
