A Nigerian pastor has stirred reactions online after rejecting a ₦30 offering from a woman, claiming she was disrespecting God with the amount.
This was revealed in a video posted on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), which has since gone viral.
In the video, the pastor-dressed in a blue suit-was seen approaching a woman seated in a car who attempted to give him the offering. However, he refused to collect the money and clearly stated his reasons.
He questioned the woman's intention, saying she wouldn't use ₦30 to buy an iPad or other valuable items, yet she thought it was acceptable to offer the same amount to God.
He then went on to declare that not only was he rejecting it, but that God was also rejecting the offering.
The woman, however, challenged the pastor for turning down the money, criticizing his reaction.
The video has since sparked widespread debate online, as many users took to the comment section to express their diverse opinions on the matter.
While some supported the pastor's stance, others felt he was wrong to publicly shame the woman for her offering.
