A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out a man who falsely accused a food vendor, Shawarma Central, of poor service after waiting only 21 minutes for his order.
Narrating the incident, she explained that she had visited the restaurant with her cousin, who often helps out in the kitchen and also runs her own food business.
Upon arrival, they met a group of guys already seated and making casual conversation about the naira-dollar conversion and other random topics.
According to her, the men placed an order for three plates of noodles, which were to be cooked separately. When their order was ready, the attendant asked if they would be dining in, but they responded with "just pack it."
However, she overheard one of the guys whispering to his friend, "I go too drag this brand for snap, make them just wait now, see how them waste our time."
This prompted her to alert her cousin, who then checked the receipt and confirmed the order was placed at 1:31 PM and packed by 1:52 PM - a total wait time of just 21 minutes.
Despite this, the customer went ahead to post a negative story on Snapchat, allegedly exaggerating the delay in an attempt to damage the restaurant's reputation.
He reportedly said, "I go post am for snap make their influencers see... me cef get following."
Her cousin, who was directly involved in the kitchen process, sincerely apologized for the short delay and pleaded with him not to drag the brand. At the time, he responded calmly, saying "no wahala, it's cool."
However, moments later, the damaging post had already gone live and had begun gaining traction.
Following private messages from the business, the man later took down the post and apologized, but the initial post had already received significant views.
Reacting to the situation, the lady condemned the act of deliberately trying to tarnish the image of hardworking small businesses over minor issues or out of clout-chasing.
"Businesses really need to be calling out people who intentionally want to ruin them at this point," she wrote. "You waited for just 21 minutes and lied saying you waited an hour plus for 3 plates of noodles. It is well!"
