Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has revealed he concealed an injury following his move to the club.

The Moroccan joined United on a season-long loan deal from Fiorentina in September.

Amrabat suffered with a back issue on international duty later that month that prevented him from making his debut for the Red Devils.

However, he was selected to start in late September against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.

Amrabat played at left-back due to a defensive injury crisis that left United with just one fit full-back.

The Moroccan has since struggled to hold down a starting berth, despite injury to Casemiro.
But, after an impressive display against Chelsea, the Moroccan says his early performances were compromised by a secret injury.

'I started [the season] with an injury and normally you need some time to adapt,' said Amrabat.

'But there was no time, the team needed me, so I had to jump in immediately and I'm a fighter, I will never say no when the manager needs me.'

Mason Mount has resumed training and United hope he could form part of the squad for Saturday's visit of Bournemouth.
