Man Utd Make 'World-Class' Barcelona Star 'Leading Transfer Target'

Manchester United are showing interest in a summer move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to TEAMtalk.

The Red Devils have reportedly identified the experienced Germany international as a potential replacement for Andre Onana and are considering a move for the 33-year-old this offseason.

Ruben Amorim's side are believed to be assessing their goalkeeping options for next season and have reportedly named Ter Stegen as a 'leading target'.

The 'world-class' shot-stopper has recently been informed that he is not part of Hansi Flick's plans at Barcelona, with Joan Garcia expected to arrive from Espanyol this summer.

According to TEAMtalk, United have internally confirmed that Ter Stegen could become a serious target this summer if circumstances allow.

While the club are currently focused on reinforcing outfield positions - particularly in attack, with advanced talks ongoing for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo - they could still pursue a new goalkeeper.

Amorim is said to want competition for Onana or even a replacement, after the Cameroonian struggled to convince between the posts this season.

Ter Stegen, meanwhile, endured an injury-hit campaign at Camp Nou, making just nine appearances for Barcelona, conceding 11 goals and keeping one clean sheet.
