Obi accused Tinubu's government of running a country characterised by ubiquitous stealing of public funds.
Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP has slammed the government of President Bola Tinubu.
He alleged that Tinubu's government is running a country characterised by ubiquitous stealing of public funds.
The former Anambra State Governor stated this at a memorial for the late Edwin Clark in Abuja.
Obi described Yakubu Gowon, ex-military Head of State, as a saint in contrast to the incumbent president.
"I spoke a few days ago and some people said I am demarketing Nigeria.
"We have a country now that's not democratic. We are not a democratic country, let's tell ourselves the truth.
"General Gowon, you sacrificed everything. But the country you people sacrificed for has become a crime scene," Obi said.
"What we see today is stealing, stealing, stealing," Obi went on, claiming that the labour of the nation's past leaders is "in vain".
