Fabinho left out of Liverpool's pre-season squad after Saudi Arabia bid

Fabinho has not travelled

Liverpool have confirmed that Fabinho will not travel with the squad for their pre-season tour of Germany.

The Brazil midfielder has been offered the chance to move to Saudi Arabia with league champions Al Ittihad, who have already recruited Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Jota this summer.

It was reported earlier this week that Fabinho is keen to make the move to the Middle East.

Liverpool named their 32-man squad on Saturday morning and there was no sign of Fabinho, who has been left at home while talks continue behind the scenes.

Interestingly, fellow midfielder Jordan Henderson has travelled despite receiving his own offer from Saudi Arabia.

Henderson has been targeted by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who is currently in charge of Al Ettifaq, and is understood to be considering making the move despite Jurgen Klopp's desire to keep his captain around.
