Salah's salary breakdown

The extremely wealthy team is eager to sign the Liverpool striker because they want him to take Karim Benzema's and Cristiano Ronaldo's places as the Saudi Pro League's face.

According to the Sun, the Liverpool star has been offered a five-year deal with a base salary of about £100 million, a private aircraft or unrestricted family travel.

He also has an offer to serve as an ambassador for tourism and investment in Saudi Arabia, which will increase the player's compensation.

The overall value of the deal offered to Mo Salah would surpass Ronaldo's Al-Nassr pay of £173 million.

The Saudi government and League want teams to be privately owned for the foreseeable future, therefore there is also the chance to acquire shares of a team.

The Saudi Arabian government is also looking to make Salah the long-term face of the league.

According to the Sun, Al-Ittihad is frantically trying to get Salah and will keep up the pressure until the Saudi Premier League's transfer market closes on September 20.

The Egyptian striker is regarded as a more important asset for the nation than any of the signings thus far because of his enormous impact and status in the Middle East Arabic nations and the Gulf peninsula.

He would make a terrific "diplomatic" contribution to Saudi Arabia's effort to become the dominant force in the region.
