'He's going to cook next season' - Chelsea fans excited as Mykhailo Mudryk video emerges

Chelsea fans are convinced that Mykhailo Mudryk is set for a great season after footage of his latest performance emerged.

The forward joined the Blues in January earlier this year but has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League.

But Chelsea fans are growing in confidence that Mudryk can light up next season under Mauricio Pochettino.

The former Shakhtar star is currently with the Ukraine Under-21s at the Under-21 European Championship.

They crashed out at the semi-finals after losing 5-1 to Spain but the Eastern European side defied many doubters by reaching that stage at all, even knocking out favourites France along the way.

Ukraine went a goal up against Spain, as well, courtesy of a piece of magic from Mudryk after being released down the left-hand flank.

Renowned for his jaw-dropping pace, the Chelsea ace left Spanish right-back Victor Gomez eating dust.

By the time he caught up, a few stepovers left the Braga defender grounded before Mudryk's cut-back found Artem Bondarenko by the penalty spot.

The 22-year-old, one of Mudryk's old teammates at Shakhtar, made no mistake to give Ukraine the lead.

And Chelsea fans were lapping it up after a clip of the goal went viral, with one supporter saying: "Fantastic assist from Mudryk. He is going to cook next season."

Another wrote: "Last season he was only warming up. Now he's catching up on the pace of the PL."

A third said: "Exactly bro. I've just got this feeling that both him and Noni will cook in the Prem next season."

This fan posted: "This guy pushes the defender to the line and still makes a perfect cross..... Brilliant."

While another put: "Lets gooo. For anyone saying we're gassing U21 performances be positive.

"He's a player that's very raw so the more experience he gets the better performing in the Euros even though it's U21's is good for his progression."

The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as manager at Stamford Bridge has boost confidence that the younger players at the club can realise their potential.

The Argentine coach was renowned for helping starlets develop at Tottenham, including Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier.

Arsenal were also in the race to snap up the young winger before Chelsea blew their London rivals out of the water with a bid worth up to £88.5million.

However, in 17 appearances, Mudryk managed just two assists in all competitions and failed to get on the scoresheet.

By the end of the season, the Ukrainian started just twice in the final five Premier League games and did not even come off the bench in two of them.
