Alejandro Garnacho returns to Manchester United squad for West Ham United clash

Manchester United v West Ham United: Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round

Manchester United have been boosted by the return of Alejandro Garnacho to their matchday squad for tonight's trip to West Ham.

The Red Devils travel to east London reeling from their last-minute defeat to Brighton on Thursday.

Liverpool piled the pressure on United with a 1-0 win against Brentford on Saturday, which moves the Reds to within a point of their Old Trafford rivals.

United, though, have two games in hand on Jurgen Klopp's men.

The first of those games comes against relegation-threatened West Ham tonight and United need all three points to boost their top four hopes.

Garnacho has been out of action for two months after sustaining ankle ligament damage in a 0-0 draw against Southampton in the Premier League.

The Argentine signed a new long-term deal with the club earlier in the week and he was with his United team-mates as they jetted down to London this morning.

It's a major boost for Erik ten Hag, who watched his side squander chance after chance against Brighton on Thursday.
