EPL: We don't have to feel sorry for Hudson-Odoi - Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has told Callum Hudson-Odoi that the coaching staff do not need to feel sorry for him.

The Ghanaian born England international has been used sparingly of late, drawing interests from the likes of Bayern Munich.

Tuchel was quoted by FootballLondon as saying that the winger should wait for his chance to play given that there are many players ahead of him in the pecking order.

Tuchel noted that he has had to use the player as a right wing-back which is not his position.

"He waits for a chance in the half left position but he fights against Mason [Mount], Kai [Havertz], Hakim [Ziyech], Christian Pulisic, a lot of guys with a lot of quality," he said.

"It is very hard for him. I agree but we don't have to feel sorry for him. Once the door is open we demand he goes in between and makes his mark. This can happen at any time. He needs to be ready, this is what we demand from him."
