Photos of injuries allegedly sustained by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) president, Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, during an alleged attack by thugs reportedly linked to Seyi Tinubu, have surfaced online.
It was previously reported that Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, the NANS president, was attacked during an event in Abuja, the inauguration ceremony of the association.
According to rumors, a group of thugs associated with Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu, violently disrupted the ceremony.
The incident unfolded at The Wells Carlton Hotel in Asokoro, where prominent political figures, including former Minister of Education and two-term Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, and former Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada, were also present.
Atiku, in his account of the events, stated that the attackers arrived armed with cutlasses and guns, storming the venue in a well-coordinated assault.
He recounted that the hotel management informed him of the interference, but despite the warning, he decided to proceed with the inauguration.
At the moment Senator Shekarau began his speech, Atiku claimed that the attackers entered the hall, forcing the senator to stop, stabbing people, and chasing others out while looting their phones and other valuables.
Atiku further alleged that the attack was not an isolated incident but part of a larger scheme to silence him.
He claimed that this was an attempt to intimidate him after he had reportedly been offered a bribe.
