Former Barcelona star exposes big secret about Lionel Messi as he reveals where he is from

Former Barcelona star Javier Mascherano has labeled fellow Argentine Lionel Messi an alien from 'another planet'.

The 32-year-old makes football looks so easy with his exceptional skills and touches on the field - with defenders finding it difficult to hold the attacker down.

His style of play has made so many suggest the World Cup finalist is not a human having won several individual and collective silverware.

Messi has won 34 major titles, flanked by several individual awards since he broke into limelight about 15 years ago.

Super Eagles star finally reveals why he rejected a move to Premier League giants Arsenal Only Cristiano Ronaldo comes close to the Argentine in terms of personal achievements having won five Ballon d'Or awards - one less than that of his arch-rival.

Mascherano while trying to explain the difference between Messi and other players told Cielosports: "Whenever I refer to Leo I say the same thing.

"In football, there is decision making and execution.

Most players make good decisions, but they don't execute them in the best way or the other way around. And he normally does both. And at the speed with which he plays, it's different.

"In addition, Leo knows how to control and that allows him, within a game, to have seven, eight or ten important chances, at 100%. "That is his ability to dominate the game.

Normally, the game dominates us all. It takes you, you carry out different actions, because the rival or the game invites you to that.

"In the case of Leo, it is the other way around: he decides what to do or not to do with the game. So he's from another planet."

Goal.com reports that both Messi and Mascherano are on compulsory holidays owing to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

The 32-year-old cannot wait to return to action in La Liga while his countryman is back in his homeland with Estudiantes.

He said: "I don't know how easy or difficult it is to come back three or four months without playing, but my mind [is made up] to keep doing it."
