WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, has vowed to break Floyd Mayweather's enviable record for the longest active unbeaten streak in boxing history.
Mayweather, 42, is considered one of the most successful boxers of all time with his impressive undefeated record holding him higher in places of the greatest.
The American champion surpassed Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record after his flawless victory over UFC star Conor McGregor by knockout in 2017.
And ahead of his fight with Luis Ortiz on November 28, Wilder has revealed his desire to break Mayweather's record, Daily Star reports.
The 34-year-old currently remains unbeaten with a 41-0-1 record after his fight with British boxer Tyson Fury.
"I think I can. I'm halfway there," the 34-year-old American said when asked on possibility of breaking the record.
"With the way I'm fighting and with the things I've got planned for my career, I'll definitely get there. 52-0 with 51 knockouts, that would be a sick record to have."
Wilder also spoke about legacy, saying he want people to think about his names when talking about boxing.
"When people think about boxing, I want them to think about Deontay Wilder," the boxing champion said.
