Anthony Joshua's rival, Deontay Wilder, has predicted that the Nigerian-born British boxer would knockout Otto Wallin on December 23, 2023.
Anthony Joshua will take on Otto Wallin on the said date, while Joseph Parker will take on Deontay Wilder on the same card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Deontay Wilder is going into the bout against Parker after staying off the rings for over one year.
Parker is not a small fish in the heavyweight division as he was a former WBO World champion and Tyson Fury's training partner.
Anthony Joshua's bout against Wallin is his third fight after losing back-to-back against Oleksandr Usyk in 2022.
Even though the Nigerian-born boxer is still highly sought after in the heavyweight class, his fighting style is now more intriguing to fans than his impressive knockouts.
Despite being criticized for being scared and cautious, he asserts that becoming a more cunning fighter is the foundation of any new tactic.
His boxing skills will be put to the test against Wallin. The Swedish boxer went the distance against Tyson Fury in 2019, losing but leaving a massive cut that nearly changed the fight's outcome.
After recording six victories since his bout against Fury in 2019, Wallin claims he is confident he can overcome the odds against a Joshua who is "past his peak".
However, Wilder, in an interview with ES News, disagreed. The American boxer believes Wallin wouldn't last more than eight rounds against Joshua.
"Joshua. I think Joshua knocks him out. Six-to-eight rounds", Deontay Wilder said.
