Zidane set for early return to management - son reveals

Enzo Zidane son of former Real Madrid boss Zinedine, has revealed his father is set to return to management soon.

The France legend has been out of job since he quit Los Blancos shortly after winning his third straight Champions League title in the summer.

The 46-year-old has been favoured to replace either Niko Kovac at Bayern Munich or Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

And Enzo who now plays for Spanish second-tier side Rayo Majadahonda on a loan deal from Swiss outfit Lausanne, insists his dad is ready to return to the dug out.

"We all know that my father loves football and loves being a coach," he said, speaking to Spanish newspaper AS.

"I am sure he will return in a short time. It's his decision.

"Now he is making the most of resting that he needed because at the end of the day Real Madrid is nice, but tough, with lot of work."

The 1998 World Cup winner has been tipped by bookmakers to succeed Mourinho at the Theatre of Dreams should the Portuguese be sacked.

"Zizou did great at Real Madrid," he said.

"He came in and won Champions League after Champions League, just phenomenal.

"He had a style at Real Madrid. And it got the best from their attacking players.

"Players bought into it. Zidane's way of playing got them on side and that, for me, was significant.

"You look at United now and they don't have a way of playing.

"But Zidane did at Real. And if he gets the United job I see him using that same style."
