The Presidency on Thursday warned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against running for the President in 2027.
President Bola Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, warned that 2027 would be Atiku's final and worst outing as a perennial presidential candidate.

"I concur with the forecast: 2027 will undoubtedly be Atiku's final and worst outing as a perennial presidential candidate."
Atiku has been trying to rule Nigeria since 1993 when he stepped down for MKO Abiola.
In 1999, he was Vice President to former President Olusegun Obasanjo for eight years.
Since then, Atiku has tried severally to emerge as President but failed in elections.
He is currently spearheading the opposition coalition which just adopted the African Democratic Congress, ADC, as its official platform.
Atiku is yet to announce his intention to run for President in 2027.
