Famed actor Sir Roger Moore, who's known for the role of 'James Bond', has died at the age of 89, after a short battle with cancer.
Roger Moore's children made this known to the media on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in a statement released via twitter.
"With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated," the children, Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian wrote on Roger Moore's official twitter page.
"The love with which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone.
"We know our own love and admiration will be magnified many times over, across the world, by people who knew him for his films, his television shows and his passionate work for UNICEF which he considered to be his greatest achievement," the statement read in part.
Roger Moore played the famous spy in seven Bond films including Live and Let Die and A View to a Kill.
