A student of Imo State University (IMSU) has raised concerns over the poor condition of a lecture hall after sharing a video showing students using umbrellas during class to shield themselves from rain leaking through the roof.
The video, posted on TikTok by the user @that_imo_girl7, captured students sitting inside a lecture hall with open umbrellas, trying to prevent their clothes and belongings from getting soaked due to the leaking ceiling.
In the caption, the student appealed to school authorities to address the situation, stressing that the issue affects both students and lecturers. She wrote:
"@IMO STATE UNIVERSITY 📚 please this is me bringing awareness to this... it's not fair that we students have to face this and can't find shelter in our halls/classrooms. Our buildings are old and dilapidated. I hope somehow this matter will reach the board of directors 🙏."
"Ps: this is me reaching out for the sake of other students and lecturers, I'm not trying to shade the school 🙏."
As the video spread online, many concerned individuals flooded the comment section, sharing their thoughts and urging the school to take action.
