Nigerian investigate journalist, Kemi Olunloyo sparks controversy with her reaction to former President Muhammadu Buhari's passing.
Earlier, we reported that Buhari passed away on July 13, 2025, in London aged 82, after a prolonged illness.
Reacting to the former president's passing in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Kemi Olunloyo accused Buhari's military regime of repressing journalists, describing him as a "pathological violator of press freedom".
She drew parallels between Buhari's actions and her complicated relationship with her father, expressing hope that they meet at the "gates of hell".
"Buhari and my father Olunloyo meet for the FIRST TIME at the Gates of Hell🔥🚒😈😁Same year😅🕊💔⚰️🪦🗳🇳🇬 2025. My father never met Buhari despite being in the same political party APC and ending my dad's democracy in 1983″, She tweeted.
Furthermore, Kemi Olunloyo accused the late president's family of falsifying his age and expressed her hope that his widow would remarry.
"Hope his family can now tell the world he was 89 and not 82 cos he was 48yo same age as my dad in 1983 when he took over Shagari's democracy",She stated.
