De Bruyne rejected two Premier League teams before reaching agreement to join new club

Outgoing Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne rejected approaches from two Premier League teams before reaching an agreement to join Napoli this summer transfer window.

The 33-year-old had earlier this season that the he leave Man City for another club after the Cityzens failed to extend his deal.

The Belgian scored over 100 goals for Man City and registered 177 assists, the second highest in the history of the Premier League.

However, De Bruyne was contacted by at least two Premier League clubs and Serie A champions Napoli after announcing he will be leaving Pep Guardiola's side this summer.

According to talkSPORT, the Premier League clubs that made ambitious moves for De Bruyne are Aston Villa and West Ham United.

But the former VfL Wolfsburg star ha reservations about joining another English club and appears to have chosen Napoli as his next club.

Just last week, De Bruyne gave his green light to join Napoli after reaching agreement in principle with Antonio Conte's side.

De Bruyne received a three-year deal worth €17m to join Napoli.
