A young Nigerian lady has taken to social media to seek advice after finding herself in an unexpected dilemma involving a JAMB bet and a younger admirer.
In a trending post on X (formerly Twitter), user @tb3l3mab recounted how she jokingly told a teenage admirer, who was preparing for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, that she would consider dating him if he scored above 280 in his UTME. To her surprise, the boy allegedly scored an impressive 325.
The lady, now conflicted, revealed her struggle with keeping the promise, noting that the boy is three years younger than her.
Sharing a screenshot of their private chat, the young man had proudly sent her his result, referring to her as "boo," signaling that he expected her to honor her word. However, she quickly corrected him, making it clear that things weren't so simple.
"I told this guy that if he could get 280 in his UTME, I'd consider dating him. He got 325. He's 3 years younger than me. WHAT DO I DO???" she wrote on X.
The post has since gone viral, sparking a wave of reactions from users across social media.
A social media user, @misssgoody, suggested, "Date him and break up after 6 months 😂😂."
Another user, @Dollar_Kerry said, "Get him something nice instead to congratulate him 😂 but tell him he's just a baby and you can't date him. Be nice please."
@TrevoXerr added, "Three years younger than you? He might handle you with care or You mean you want to date someone older than who will prolly shatter the living feeling outta you."
