The long-awaited London derby, which should have taken place two months ago but was postponed due to Chelsea's EFL Cup final clash with Liverpool, has finally arrived. The Blues host Tottenham Hotspur in a 26th Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge at 20:30 CEST.
Although the stakes are always high in this type of game, Mauricio Pochettino's side have nothing left to aim for this season other than to finish on a high note and start the coming campaign in high spirits, as they currently sit ninth on 48 points.
For their part, Spurs need to claim three crucial points to remain in a fight to qualify for next season's Champions League that has now become fiercer than ever after the Premier League missed out on an extra place in next year's edition. Postecoglou's side are fifth, seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, but still have two games in hand.
