Erik ten Hag rates Manchester United's top-four chances after slipping up at Brentford

Manchester United's hopes of an unearned win were dashed at Brentford when Kristoffer Ajer's last-minute goal secured a 1-1 draw in an exciting finish. Despite Mason Mount's 96th-minute goal appearing to seal the win against the flow of the game, Brentford managed to score an equalizer through Ajer just three minutes later, marking their 31st shot of the match. United's performance was lackluster until the closing stages.

United were rather fortuitous to escape with a point and Ten Hag feels it could prove to be a valuable result come the end of the season in the race for a Champions League berth. Asked if he still feels United can nab a top-four finish, Ten Hag replied: 'There are still many games to go. 'But, of course, the points will be more expensive by the end, and this should have been three [points]. 'But now it's only one, by the end we will know how it will work out, but it could be a big point by the end.'
