Chelsea face Manchester City in FA Cup semi-final as Coventry get Man Utd test

FA Cup semi-final draw made

Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino

Chelsea will face Manchester City in the semi-final of the FA Cup. It is the toughest possible draw for Mauricio Pochettino's side, who will face the reigning champions at Wembley next month.

The semi-final draw was made live on ITV after Manchester United's incredible comeback win over Liverpool, with Amad Diallo scoring deep into extra-time to hand the Red Devils a 4-3 win over their fierce rivals.

Chelsea had booked their place in the last four earlier in the day with an incredible 4-2 win over Leicester City. They had been cruising at 2-0 up, but let the Championship side back into it, before substitutes Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke bagged late goals.

City won the FA Cup last season on the way to an epic treble victory and whoever beats them will liekly win the tournament, given their prowess. Chelsea would have had to play them at some point, you would expect, and it will be in the semi-final stage, rather than the final.

In the other semi-final, Championship side Coventry City will take on Manchester United, following that win over Liverpool. The semi-finals will be played on the weekend of April 20 and 21.
