Inter Milan are under investigation by the Italian Serie A for two incidents during their 4-2 win over Daniele De Rossi's Roma on Saturday.
The incidents include an alleged phone call from suspended coach Simone Inzaghi and a gesture made by defender Francesco Acerbi.
Recall Inzaghi was suspended for the match against Roma due to accumulated yellow cards.
Despite his suspension, defender Alessandro Bastoni hinted that the Inter boss had been in contact with the team over the phone at half-time, which would violate Serie A rules.
Inter had been trailing 2-1 at halftime in the encounter. Inzaghi's assistant later clarified that a message had been delivered to the team but denied a video call took place.
Inter could face penalties if found guilty, including Inzaghi potentially having to watch the next league game from the stands and the club receiving a fine.
Acerbi also faces investigation for showing a middle finger to Roma supporters during his goal celebration, allegedly in response to insulting chants about his past battle with testicular cancer.
Football Italia reports that the Italian FIGC Prosecutor's office could suspend Acerbi for his gesture, but there may be leniency given the circumstances.
