Transfer News: Arsenal expected to enter transfer race to sign £100m-rated 25-year-old striker

Premier League giants Arsenal football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their goalscoring options by signing a new striker under the management of Mikel Arteta.

The North London club were quite active during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and David Raya to bolster their squad.

However, Arsenal strikers Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have struggled in front of goal for the most part of this season and Arsenal football club are very much aware of the need to sign a new centre-forward.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Arsenal football club are expected to make their move for experienced Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen when the 2023/2024 season is over.

The 25-year-old Nigeria International, who signed up for Serie A side Napoli after departing Lille back in 2020 has proven to be one of the best strikers in the world of football.

The experienced striker was hugely influential for Napoli during the 2022/2023 season where he scored 31 goals and created five assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

Victor Osimhen has also continued in his impressive form for Napoli so far this ongoing 2023/2024 season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in the 18 matches he has played.

His excellent in front of goal is said to have attracted interests from a number of clubs but according to reports from The Sun, Arsenal football club are expected to join the race to sign Victor Osimhen.

The reports further claimed that Arsenal are not put off by the player's £100million valuation and will make their move to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli when the summer transfer window opens.

It is believed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to add more firepower to his options in front of goal and he has identified Victor Osimhen as a needed addition to his squad.

But then, it remains to be seen if Arsenal football club will be able to reach an agreement with Napoli and beat off competitions from the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea to sign Victor Osimhen.
