Fans go wild for Leo Messi at Cristiano Ronaldo's home: Epic 10th minute at Al Nassr's stadium

Years go by and the rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is still alive.

They are now the bosses of their leagues, in Saudi Arabia and MLS. But what happened in the semifinal of the Supercopa de Espana between Barcelona and Osasuna will go down in the history of the rivalry.

The match between the two Spanish teams was held at the Al Awwal Park stadium, where Al Nassr plays its home games, and it all happened despite the fact that the recent World Cup winner is no longer a member of the Azulgrana club.

In the first half, when Barcelona couldn't find an opener, the home crowd, Cristiano's home crowd, remembered the world champion with a boisterous chant, as they remembered the man they defeated on the first day of the World Cup in Qatar.

"Messi, Messi, Messi"... echoed in the stands of Al-Awwal Park.

Not the first time Messi has received attention

It isn't the first time that the Argentine has received such a massive show of affection despite not being present.

It also happened at the Camp Nou on several occasions, but the strongest ones occurred when former Blaugrana president Joan Laporta's failure to sign Messi to a deal was still fresh.

Cristiano has felt it as well. The Al Hilal fans, for example, did not miss the opportunity in their confrontation and shouted "Messi, Messi, Messi" as Ronaldo headed towards the tunnel to go to the locker room.

In the video, Cristiano can be seen making a sign simulating the VAR followed by a money sign for controversy during the match. The player then exchanged a few words with someone standing right at the entrance of the tunnel while the fans kept shouting "Messi, Messi, Messi".
