Rivers Crisis: Lawmaker Goodhead, others dare Wike to come back to the state

Boma Goodhead, the legislator representing Akuku/Asari Toru Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, along with other demonstrators, has issued a challenge to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to come back to Rivers State.

According to Newsmen, they have also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and control Wike, emphasizing their refusal to idly stand by while the FCT Minister exerts influence over Rivers State.

Leading the protest, Goodhead warned Wike against revisiting the state he had governed for eight years and urged him to rein in his lackeys. This warning came from a strong message she conveyed to the Nigerian Federal Government.

She asserted that Tinubu is under the impression that Wike handed over the control of Rivers State to him, but even within his own unit, Wike failed. She claimed that Wike encountered failure at his ward and even at the local government level.

Goodhead, alongside other protesters, made their presence known to implore Tinubu to assert his authority over Wike, as the next instance of him disrupting the peace of Rivers State will not be met with acquiescence.

They challenged Wike to come back to Rivers State, and they would demonstrate what it truly means to govern the state. They said that if he had the courage, they dared him to come back.
