According to the UK media outlet Daily Mail, the video of the supposed incident originated from Chelsea's official TikTok account and although the incident had not been spotted by the referees, the FA are currently investigating the incident.

Reports indicate that he might face up to a match ban like Richarlison had done following his own replica of the same situation while at Everton.

Sterling has once again been omitted from England's side ahead of the upcoming international break. The squad list which was shared today, Thursday, November 9, 2023. This could spell a possible risk for his chances of playing at the UEFA Euros 2024.

Speculations indicate that a fallout between the two might have occurred. England's head coach, Gareth Southgate, has, however, denied the speculations.

He stated, "We started on a good run and the performances in June were excellent, so we've stuck with that group. We've deliberately not made many changes. Raheem looks invigorated but we're really pleased with the team.".
