The AS Roma striker has played for Belgium since 2010 and made his debut under Advocaat. He made his debut on March 3, 2010 in a friendly against Croatia.

He had to wait until November to score his first goal for his country. Since then, he became an important player for the country and was part of the Golden Generation alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard.

Lukaku was heavily criticized for his poor performance in the 2022 World Cup, where Belgium were eliminated in the group stage. He still remains one of the best strikers in world football, and stats back that up.

Lukaku equals Neymar

In September, Neymar scored twice for Brazil to overtake Pele to become the country's all-time goalscorer with 79 goals, per ESPN.

In June 2017, Lukaku scored for Belgium in their friendly against Japan to become the all-time leading goalscorer. The goal was his 31st for Belgium, and he passed Bernard Voorhoof and Paul Van Himst.

The former Chelsea, Inter Milan and Manchester United striker has scored a total of 374 goals, which is a great return. he's scored five goals at the World Cup and six at the Euros, per Transfermarkt.

It is not clear when the game against Sweden will be completed following the tragic incident in Brussels.
