The labour party presidential aspirant in the Feb 25th presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi has stated that the renaming of the Anambra international cargo and passenger airport to Chinua Achebe international airport is a welcomed development.
This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official Twitter page on Sunday.
His post is coming after he recently attended a symposium that was organized for Chinua Achebe at the Princeton University in USA
In a post that he shared on his verified Twitter page; he said that renaming the airport after Chinua Achebe is very good.
He said the late literary icon deserves all the honour that the state and the nation can bestow upon him.
He however congratulated the Achebe family for the honour. Peter obi also took time to thank the governor of Anambra state, Gov Charles Chukwuma Soludo for making the decision.
