Kyle Walker, Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte all likely to leave Manchester City

Manchester City v Leeds United - Premier League

Kyle Walker, Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte are all likely to leave Manchester City this summer as they look for more regular first team football elsewhere.

It has been a wildly successful season for City as they completed the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup treble under Pep Guardiola.

Unsurprisingly there has been a fair amount of rotation from the Spaniard during an extremely busy campaign and some players have had to spend more time on the bench than they would like.

The Athletic report that Walker, Mahrez and Laporte have all been left unhappy with their lack of prominence in Guardiola's plans and summer exits for all three appear likely.

Walker is perhaps the most surprising of the three, with the 33-year-old an important player for City since he moved from Tottenham in 2017.

He still played 39 times in all competitions this season, but found himself out of the starting XI at times, most notably in the Champions League final when he had to make do with an appearance from the bench.

Former club Sheffield United are interested in bringing him back to Bramall Lane, although the Athletic's report suggests he is more likely to move abroad.

Mahrez has attracted the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, although they reportedly are more interested in his City teammate Bernardo Silva.

There is also interest in the Algerian winger from Saudi Arabia, which he is open to, with the former Leicester star turning 33 in February.

Laporte has asked to leave in the past and finds himself down the pecking order, thanks to serious injuries, but also the form of players who have played more regularly in the City defence.

The Spain international made just 12 Premier League appearances over the last season, didn't feature in the Champions League final and only came on for the final seconds in the FA Cup final.
