A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to express regret years after she turned down the advances of popular singer, Asake, back in University.

The young lady, identified as @MarbellaSpice, posted a screenshot of the conversation she had with the 'Sungba' crooner and said she wishes she gave him her phone number.

In the chat, Asake, who was a struggling artiste at the time, requested for her phone number but she turned him down, saying she doesn't like the way he was all over the place in school because of his music career.

She further stated that she is not looking to be friends with him and only enjoyed his music, to which the singer responded with mixed reaction.

Following the singer's astronomical success in the music industry, Marbella went online to share the chat and said she should have exchanged contact with him.

According to her, they would have still been friends till date even if they didn't pursue a romantic relationship.

She captioned the post,

"Shebi I for don give am my numberwe would have still been friends even if I wasn't interested."
