Bayern Munich to return with third bid for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane

Sadio Mane

Bayern Munich will make an improved, third bid for Sadio Mane, but it is still notably short of Liverpool's asking price for the forward.

Bild report that the German giants are ready to offer £34.6m for Mane, an improvement on their last offer which stood at around £30m in total.

However, the improved bid is still some way short of what the Reds want for the wantaway forward, having stuck an asking price of £42m on him.

With Liverpool agreeing the £85m deal with Benfica for Darwin Nunez, it seems inevitable that Mane will be leaving this summer and Bayern are trying to force through the best agreement possible for them.

The 30-year-old still has one year left on his contract at Anfield but has made it clear that he wants to move, with the Reds happy to let him go if an appropriate offer is made.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also shown an interest in Mane, so Liverpool are not ready to accept a low-ball offer while there remain other suitors.
