Champions League: Courtois names best player in the world after Real Madrid's loss to PSG

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has named Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe as one of the best players in the world.

Courtois said this while reacting to Mbappe's display for PSG against Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie on Tuesday night.

The former Chelsea keeper said he managed to stop Mbappe during the encounter, but the France international showed his quality and class.

Recall that Mbappe scored a late goal to ensure PSG defeated Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League tie in Paris.

Speaking after the game, Courtois was quoted by Real Madrid's official website as saying: "I managed to stop him a few times, but in the last move he showed his quality and his class, that is why he's one of the best in the world."

Courtois, who saved a penalty against Lionel Messi during the first-leg tie, will now hope to lead Real Madrid to victory when they face PSG in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu in March.
