Inter Milan are on the verge of signing Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku after having an improved bid accepted.
Lukaku, 26, wants a move away from Old Trafford and has been pursued by the Serie A giants all summer.
Inter submitted an offer of £54million back in July, but it was swiftly rejected by United.
Last week, there were reports Juventus were in negotiations with United, who said they would let him leave, but only if they got Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic in return.
And seemingly in an attempt to force through his move to Italy, Lukaku trained with his former team Anderlecht for the past two days.
The former Everton forward has not featured in any United's pre-season matches, citing injury as the reason for his continued absence.
The transfer window in England closes on Thursday at 5pm, but many other European clubs can continue trading players until September 2.
