Michal Probierz has stepped down from his role as the head coach of Poland.
This follows his feud with star striker Robert Lewandowski.
According to Probierz on Thursday, he resigned for "the good of the national team".
"I have come to the conclusion that in the current situation the best decision for the good of the national team will be my resignation from the position of selector," he said in a statement.
On Sunday, Lewandowski revealed he would not play for his country while Probierz is still in charge.
This was followed by a 2-1 defeat to Finland that knocked Poland off the top of their European World Cup qualifying group.
Lewandowski was left fuming after being stripped of the captain's armband by Probierz.
