A Nigerian herbal doctor has sparked conversation online after boldly claiming to have discovered a cure for HIV-and vowing to pay ₦20 million if it doesn't work.
This claim was made in a series of posts shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by @TheRoyalHerbs.
The conversation began when a user, @the_beardedsina, quoted the herbal doctor's tweet and asked if he could get a free dose of the supposed HIV cure.
The herbal doctor responded, saying he would provide the cure if the user agreed to pay ₦10 million after successful treatment.
He wrote: "Sure, in as much you can sign agreement with my lawyer to pay ₦10M Naira after treatment ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻."
However, @the_beardedsina fired back, proposing a different deal. He offered to pay ₦2 million for the drug, but demanded ₦20 million in return if it failed to cure HIV as claimed.
He replied: "Let's do this. I pay you ₦2 million naira for your drug. If it doesn't cure HIV as you said, you pay me ₦20 million...since it's your word against your word. Deal... Are you in?"
The herbal doctor responded with a revised offer:
"You pay me ₦10M if it works, I pay you ₦20M if it doesn't! Deal?"
The bold claims and high-stakes wager quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from users who flooded the comment section to share their thoughts.
