A Nigerian woman has accused a doctor in Abuja of stealing one of her twins after being handed only one baby following delivery, despite a scan showing she was pregnant with twins.
The allegation was shared in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE.
According to the lady, during her pregnancy, a scan revealed she was expecting twins.
However, after delivery, she was given only one baby and told the other had died. When she requested to see the body, she was told it was too damaged to identify.
Her suspicions grew when she later saw the doctor's wife at a children's hospital with a child who looked exactly like her missing baby.
In her statement, she said: "During my pregnancy, a scan at the hospital showed I was expecting twins. But after delivery, I was only given one baby and told the other had died."
"When I asked for the body, they claimed it was too damaged to identify. I became suspicious. Later, I saw my doctor's wife at a children's hospital with a child who looked exactly like mine."
