An Alhaja, reportedly a stroke patient, broke down in tears after allegedly being assaulted by her husband, an Islamic cleric, over ₦800.
This was revealed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), which included a video showing the woman's bruised and swollen face, allegedly caused by her husband.
According to the caption, the altercation was sparked by ₦800.
In the video, the Alhaja recounts the incident:
"At midnight, he wanted to get intimate with me, but I told him I was tired. After that, I asked for food money, and he refused. I opened his bag to check for money and found ₦800 inside. He immediately bent my arm, started beating me, and hit me in the eyes with his head."
Throughout the video, several voices can be heard advising the woman to leave the marriage, condemning the man's actions and expressing concern for her ongoing mistreatment.
