In addition, Governor Fubara took a moment to deny unfavorable rumors that were making the rounds on social media amid the state's political unrest.

Fubara reassured his listeners that all government employee salaries had already been paid but urged them to ignore misleading information and concentrate on the positive developments taking place in the state.

He assured the Local Government (LG) Chairmen who were waiting for their funds that they would soon receive them in their accounts. He emphasized how crucial this is and that his administration will always prevail over its detractors.

In his words, "There's nothing that is happening now that is not sumountable. I want you to know that. So, you need to brace up. Nothing has happened; we are still complete. Let me tell you, they said we are not going to last for one week; we are here for one year plus."

"We are also doing a one-year anniversary. They said those local chairmen will not leave as local government chairmen; today, we have the local government chairmen sitting with us here."

"They said the commissioner should resign immediately so that we'll be crippled. Today we have more than 23 commissioners. They said we are going to frustrate them; they will not succeed, but by the grace of God, we have projects that are touching the lives of people in Rivers State."

"We didn't end there, but we have shown prudence that we are not here to steal your money. That we are here to give accountability. And yesterday, you saw it; it was declared that Rivers State has transparency and accountability in the number one position. Now ask yourself the question, who is the winner? Who is the winner?"
