A Nigerian man identified as Young C has sparked conversations on social media after he completed his challenge to be buried alive in a coffin for 24 hours.
On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, he announced the start of the challenge on his Instagram page, saying that the stunt was real and not a scam.
Sharing a video on his Instagram account on Wednesday, he said, "I am going to be spending the next 24 hours buried in this casket. Guys, this is real, not fake.
And the most amazing part is that I am going to go live by night."
Young C disclosed in a later update that he had been buried for more than eight hours and was in bodily distress, which included profuse perspiration.
As he was raised from the coffin on Thursday morning, he expressed gratitude to his supporters for their support during the antics.
The event has generated many reactions from social media users as they share varied opinions. Some have urged that Young C be arrested for attempted suicide.
However, others saw nothing wrong with his stunt saying that a popular YouTuber
embarked on the same thing and was applauded for the feat after he completed it so Young C shouldn't be chastised.
