'A Disgrace to Christianity' - Fr Oluoma Attacks Believers Who Believe in Generational Curses

Reverend Father John Chinenye Oluoma, a prominent Catholic priest based in Abuja, attacked believers who believe in generational and ancestral curses terming them a disgrace to Christianity via a recent post on his official Facebook page.

In an address on his official Facebook page, Father Oluoma criticized the belief in generational curses, labeling it as a "disgrace to Christianity" and a product of misguided imagination.

He said, "Any other human being who believes in ancestral curse can be excuses, but a Christian who believes in it is a disgrace to Christianity. Such a Christian rubbishes the finished work of Christ on the cross."

Drawing from biblical references and historical context, Father Oluoma dismantled the notion that individuals are subject to spiritual consequences based on the actions of their ancestors.

He pointed out instances from the Bible where God's justice transcended the concept of generational curses, emphasizing the importance of personal accountability and the redemptive power of Christ's sacrifice.

Furthermore, Father Oluoma challenged the credibility of the idea of ancestral curses by citing examples from history, highlighting how nations with dark pasts have thrived despite the absence of perceived spiritual burdens.

He issues a call to action for Christians to engage in critical examination of their faith and to embrace a theology grounded in grace, forgiveness, and personal responsibility.
