Queens Park Rangers Join Race to Sign Nwabali

English championship club Queens Park Rangers are in race to sign Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who presently plays for Chippa United of South Africa, assisted Nigeria in reaching the Africa Cup of Nations final earlier this year.

He has chosen not to sign a contract extension with the team, thus at the end of the season, he will be a free agent.

Nwabali and QPR were connected in January, but no deal was finalised.

This summer, the Championship team is anticipated to pique their interest in the athlete once more.

The current goalkeeper for QPR, Asmir Begovic, has drawn criticism this season.

At thirty-six, the club will probably be searching for a new goalkeeper.

QPR is not the only club with an interest in Nwabili.

The player has apparently drawn interest from Union St. Gilloise and Al Ettifaq as well, although he has not received any firm offers.

Despite this, Nwabili has drawn attention with his outstanding performances, and whichever team signs him could find him to be a great asset.
